Creative Visualization with Vision Board (Part 2)
posted in Visualization, Law Of Attraction, Science of Getting Rich, Manifesting |I was listening to Joseph McClendon III, chief trainer for many of Anthony Robbins events, telling about the importance of a vision board. He told a story of how he won the FANtasy Bike Contest by American Chopper series, sponsored by Discovery Channel. And how he got his dream bike built exactly the way he visualized it!
He started by visualizing his dream bike. He sketched out his bike and put it in front of his desk and started to visualize it everyday. In addition to that, he also knew the reason why he wanted to win the contest. He said that he had always loved motorcycles, especially choppers. But long time ago he had to sell his bike (hog) to help pay for his mom’s hospital bills. His mom asked him to make a promise that he would build another bike that meant as much to him as the one he sold. So to fulfill this promise, he wanted to win.
He submitted his entry and started to visualize his new bike. He looked at his sketch all the time. Out of over 100,000 entries, he was shortlisted. He was so excited, and he kept doing his visualizations. There were several short listing processes and every time he was informed that he got shortlisted, he got more convinced that his visualization is working and he did the visualization even more intensely.
Finally, after many selection processes, it came down to a few participants who had to submit a video each describing why they wanted to win the contest. Of course, Joseph told the story about his promise to his mother. At last, he was selected to be the winner!
Joseph told us this story to convince us that there is magic about making a vision board and visualizing. In part 3, you will learn how to create an effective vision board.
Watch this clip from American Chopper. Enjoy!
